Choosing a Primary Setting
There are a number of options and schools vary considerably! This session covers what to look out for on a school visit, questions to ask potential schools and how to find out about the school’s SEN policy. The session covers a brief overview of the research and shares some top tips from parents.
This 50 minutes session is for parents whose children are due to start primary setting. The session, delivered by our subject matter expert Dr Becky Baxter, discusses what to consider when choosing a primary school. For some parents this is an easy decision, but others can often feel overwhelmed. There are a number of options and schools vary considerably. This session covers what to look out for on a school visit, questions to ask potential schools and how to find out about the school’s SEN policy. The session covers a brief overview of the research and shares some top tips from parents.
Our on-demand sessions give you access to a recording of our online Information Sharing Session ‘Choosing a Primary setting’ which was given in March 2025. You will have access for 90 days from the date of sign up you can watch and re-watch the presentation.
