Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience in the charity sector, specialising in partnerships and income growth. She is passionate about social justice, inclusion and challenging inequality. She is currently Head of Partnerships at the Royal Mencap Society, where she focuses on building strategic relationships and sustainable income.
Rebecca found out at her 12-week scan that her second child, Colwyn, would be born with Down syndrome. He was born in 2025 and is thriving. That experience shaped her strong belief in the importance of how diagnosis is communicated, and in ensuring families receive balanced, thoughtful information and support from the very beginning.
Rebecca brings a combination of professional expertise and lived experience, and is particularly interested in supporting DSUK to grow its reach, strengthen its income, and continue to challenge perceptions of Down syndrome at a societal level.
