Ayesha is a GP with a special interest in improving healthcare for people with Learning Disability & Autism. Her advocacy for inclusive healthcare is rooted in her experiences as a parent which has evolved into an area of special interest.

Her daughter has Down syndrome, and they as a family continue to benefit from the local support group ‘Ups of Downs’. This experience has motivated her to become a Trustee for Down Syndrome UK (DSUK.) In this role, she hopes to contribute towards support for families who are navigating the unique challenges of raising a child with Down syndrome.
