Casimir’s professional life has spanned the British Foreign Service, the sports industry and various start ups. He is now a Board advisor to some sports businesses, a farmer and a freelance consultant on business projects in the UK and Czech Republic. Casimir also has lived family experience of disability – in his case his son Ben has the rare neuromuscular condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Casimir was a founder and Chairman of both the SMA Trust and the international alliance of SMA Europe. He helped drive the merger of the SMA Trust and SMA UK (Support) into a single national charity SMA UK, and serves as a Trustee of SMA UK and a representative of the charity within SMA Europe.
