Meet the DSUK family
Down Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a national charity passionate about empowering parents and professionals to improve the lives of those with Down syndrome and their families in the UK.

Meet the DSUK family. A collective of dedicated services working together to empower every person
with Down syndrome to live their best life.
Positive About Down Syndrome Community
The Positive About Down Syndrome (PADS) Community is a welcoming, supportive community for parents to come together to ask any question, share tips, seek advice, be honest about any worries and concerns, knowing they’re in a safe, non-judgemental space. PADS provides groups from expectant women through to parents of young adults, grandparents, and smaller groups for specific conditions.
Pants 4 School Programme
We believe that with the right information, support and encouragement, most children with Down syndrome can be out of nappies and toilet trained, in plenty of time to be in Pants4School!
Heart Buddies Support
Heart Buddies is a virtual support network connecting families of babies and young children with congenital heart conditions to experienced parents who offer guidance, understanding, and practical advice throughout hospital appointments, surgery, and recovery.
Online Physiotherapy Sessions
Our online physiotherapy sessions (previously known as POPS!) provide guided support through key developmental stages, helping children build strong physical foundations at their own pace. With patience and dedication, each stage is carefully followed to support long-term mobility and confidence.
Early Years Development Parent Groups
Our Early Years Development Parent Groups (previously known as PEGS) provide parents with expert-led, research-based early intervention activities to support their child’s development through everyday routines. Through short, accessible videos, our specialists equip parents with the knowledge and confidence to promote learning and growth at home and in nursery settings.
EHCP Support Service
Our EHCP Support Service provides expert guidance on the EHCP process through online support groups, 1:1 drop-in sessions, and a detailed draft review service. Led by one of our specialists, this service helps DSUK families navigate applications, reviews, and parent representations with confidence.
DLA Support Service
Our Disability Living Allowance (DLA) service provides parents with expert guidance and support to navigate the application process for this essential benefit. Led by one of our specialists, our regular drop-in sessions empower families with the information they need to access financial support for their child’s additional needs.
Early Years Development Programme (EYDP)
12 months' access to the training, resources and ongoing support to enable a child with Down syndrome to flourish in your early years setting and promote an inclusive learning environment for all.
Primary Education Programme
12 months' access to the training, information and ongoing support so you can confidently meet the needs of a child with Down syndrome and help them flourish in your classroom.
Individualised Behaviour Support
There are a number of characteristics associated with Down syndrome that can lead to challenges managing behaviour. This service, led by Dr Becky Baxter, is designed to support schools to understand any behaviour challenges and to develop new positive behaviours in school.
Support Group Network
We provide a huge amount of support and information online that is available 24/7; however, we really value and appreciate the importance of local support groups for children and young people with Down syndrome to make local friendship circles, as well as to access local specialist services.
