London to Brighton Cycle

On Sunday 20 June 2027, thousands of cyclists will roll out of Clapham Common and head for the coast in the London to Brighton Bike Ride - the 50th edition of Europe's oldest charity bike ride, ending with sand between your toes on Brighton seafront.

We have a limited number of charity places available, and we’d love you to join our team. By running for Down Syndrome UK (DSUK), you’ll be helping us reach more families at the moments that matter most – from the earliest days of a diagnosis, through education and into adulthood.

  • Date: Sunday 20th June 2027
  • Minimum fundraising target: £300
  • Where? Clapham Common to Brighton seafront
  • How far? 54 miles

The London to Brighton Bike Ride is a true British classic, and 2027 marks its 50th year. The 54-mile route carries you out of the capital and into the rolling Surrey countryside, over the famous climb of Ditchling Beacon, and down to a well-earned finish on Brighton seafront. With rest stops, refreshments and full support along the way, you’ll have everything you need to reach the coast with confidence.

You don’t have to be a seasoned cyclist to take part. Whether you ride often or you’re dusting off your bike for a new challenge, you’ll have our team behind you from the moment you sign up. When you join Team DSUK, we’ll support you with fundraising ideas and resources, regular encouragement, and a cycling jersey to wear with pride on the day.

The ride falls on Father’s Day weekend, so it’s a meaningful way to take on a challenge in honour of someone special while helping families across the country. Every mile you ride helps us be there for more of them – listening, guiding, and standing alongside them from diagnosis onwards. We’d love to see you at the start line.

Testimonial

When I received the email from PADS about places at the London Landmarks Half Marathon I immediately knew it was something I wanted to do. We received a postnatal diagnosis for our wonderful boy Roman and were left with all the shock, unknowns and fear that comes along with it. I will never forget one of the nurses handing me a flyer and saying “don’t google, just look here”. It was a flyer for PADS and I spent the next three days in hospital reading through positive stories from people just like me with babies just like mine, which made everything we were going through feel “normal” and manageable. The peer support, the education, the trainings, the programmes, everything PADS has to offer has been crucial in making our journey with Ro so positive so far. So when the opportunity arrived I knew I wanted to give back and hopefully help make an impact on another family’s life, just how PADS has impacted ours
