Community events
Our community events bring families of children with Down syndrome together face to face, in relaxed, welcoming environments across the UK. They’re a chance to meet other parents, spend time with people and enjoy inclusive activities at your own pace.
We host a small number of in-person community events each year for families of children with Down syndrome. These days are designed to be calm, inclusive, and supportive – whether you’re attending your first ever meet-up or reconnecting with families you already know.
Our events are suitable for a wide range of ages and needs, and are always family-led. Some families come for the activities, some come for the conversations, and some simply come to be in a space where their child is fully welcomed.
Below you’ll find the community events we’re hosting this year.

Thomley
Each September, we celebrate PADS’ birthday with a joyful community day at Thomley Activity Centre. Families come together to enjoy cake, a BBQ, and a full day of accessible indoor and outdoor activities. With plenty of space to relax, play, and connect, it’s a chance for families of children with Down syndrome to spend time together and celebrate being part of our community.
