Organise your own fundraising event

Organising your own fundraising event is a brilliant way to support Down Syndrome UK in a way that suits you. From small, local gatherings to bigger community or workplace events, every fundraiser helps us support people with Down syndrome and their families across the UK.

You don’t need experience or a big plan – just an idea and a willingness to get involved. We’ll help you take it from there.

What kind of event could I organise?

Your event can be as simple or as ambitious as you like. Many of our supporters choose ideas that fit naturally into their lives, communities or workplaces. If it brings people together and raises funds, it works.

First, choose an idea that feels manageable and enjoyable for you. Next, set up an online fundraising page so people can donate easily and securely. Then, let friends, family or colleagues know what you’re doing and why it matters to you.

If you’re unsure at any stage, our team is here to help you think it through.

Bake sales, coffee mornings, cake stalls

Quiz nights, raffles or bingo

School non-uniform days or sponsored activities

Workplace black tie fundraisers or team challenges
